Q & A
No question is too silly for Ms. Thang!
Stick Foundation
Q: If I have combination skin, is it okay to use stick foundations?
A: Stick foundations are fine. Try Cover Girl, Fashion Fair or Maybelline brands for a start.

Combination Skin
Q: I am still unsure if I have oily, dry, or combination. I usually experience breakouts and my skin feels tight after I clean it. Right now I am using clean and clear acne wash for my breakouts. And I use oil of olay complete facial lotion. At night I use noxzema. During the summer
my skin feels oily and I break out. In winter my skin feels dry.

Too Light or too dark
Q: My name is Jessica and I am 22 years old. Currently I am active duty military and I am having a problem with make-up. I don't really wear make-up because I find it too hard to match my skin tone. I am a dark skinned female, with red hues. All of the foundation that I found is either too dark or too light, mainly too light! I am currently using Iman cosmetics (Iman time control tint) this product does well with color but after time my face looks greasy. I have been to a lot of make-up specialist (per say) and no one can do a good job that would make me want to wear make-up every day. I have often found that the make-up that they applied is a different color from my body. Or it gives off that awful oily look. I do have a combination of oily to dry skin or a T-zone, which makes the search even harder. If you have any suggestions, I would really appreciate it.
Thank you for your time,
Jessica
A: There are a lot of foundations on the market that accommodate combination skin. The first step is to make sure you have an effective skincare regime. See Ultimate Skin. Combination will produce oil in the T-zone area. Try blotting your skin with Cornsilk Blotting Cloths or M.A.C's Blotting powder.

Cheek Stains
Q: I just bought Revlon's Lip and Cheek Jam in RazzBerry and was wondering if you had any info on applying it? Thank- you
Kelly Roonan
A: The simplest way to apply itis to use your fingers. Apply three dots on the cheek bone and blend with fingers in an upward motion.

Foundations
Q: Can you please tell me two cosmetic ranges which are specifically for black skins and their webs sites so I can look up the list of colours of foundations in each range? Also what ingredients are in gel and cake foundations? I am more grateful for any help in this matter.
Thank you,
Jacqui Woodhouse

Birthmark
Q: I have a small dark birthmark on my cheek that I would like to cover. I would prefer something that would look natural but I don't know what to use. Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks,

Large pores and dark spots
Q: Hi, my name is Jackie. Within the past two years I've seen my skin deteriorate. I have oily skin with visibly large pores and dark spots. I often have break outs. What can I do to shrink the pores and clear my skin? I've tried over the counter products and I'm currently using Murad products, but my skin isn't improving. Please help. Thank you
A: There could be a number of factors contributing to your skin issues. Poor diet, stress, using wrong products for skin type, cleansing regime and going to bed at night with your makeup on could be the culprits! Try find a Skin regime combined with your current skin care products. Be consistant and you should achieve results.
